Speed Up Your Internet Browsing

Simple tweaks on your DNS server may speed up your web browsing experience. What is a DNS? It is an acronym for Domain Name System in which every internet service provider (ISP) has their own. Unfortunately, most of the DNS server provided by our ISP is not always the fastest. Below are the steps to follow on how to obtain the best DNS server and speed up your browsing time.

1. Download Namebench

2.  Run the application file and click on the "Start Benchmark" button.

Note: It will take some time to complete so be patient.

3. When the program completes its benchmarking, you will see a report similar to the below screen shot.

Note: The primary server shown on the recommended configuration above is the best DNS server for you.

4. Open your Local Area Connection Properties from Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections.

5. Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click the "Properties" button.

6. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses:" Type in the recommended configuration shown by the Namebench result and click ok.

That's it! Enjoy faster internet browsing!
